Whats the proper way to hookup 2 tanks on VU4-Accuair?
I only have one scharder valve filter so the way I installed my Accuair system was having both tanks go into a T and the T went into the scharder valve then into the VU4. The VU4 valve has two inlets so is it ok to keep it setup this way or should I buy another scharder filter and run one tank into one inlet and the other tank into the other inlet?
Is there any benefit to using the two inlets? Posted via Mobile Device

Yea.. the water trap is what I was talking about. Thats what I was thinking is that it should be before the tanks... but in their docs they show it after the tanks and before the VU4 valves.

I found the schraders at Pepboys. Here is a link to what to look for.
http://www.google.com/products/catal...1048546109617# I know they showed it after the tanks. The thinking is to remove the moisture before the valves. However, if you condition the air as it fills the tank, no moisture can get into the system if its sealed. I think your good either way, as long as you can remove water from the tanks. So if you add schraders so you can dump the tanks, I think you can leave it where it is. |

Here is a picture of one of my tanks with the schrader pointing down.
In the second pic, you can see the enclosure that houses my ECU and Valves. You can see where I "T" the 1/2" feed lines into the two inlets of the valve. Also, you can see how i mounted it to my bed. This doesnt do you any good, since you have just a rolling chassis at the moment. If I were you, I would go with the single inlet for now. If you are not happy with the speed at which it goes from aired out to full up, go with the dual inlets. The reason I say this is because using both inlets is fast on the way up. Watch this video. With the accuair system, this affects its adjusting or self levelling capabilities. A sinlge inlet will slow the fill so the sensors respond more accurately. |

Cool... thanks man. Everything is FINISHED with the Accuair system. All sensors are mounted and everything is working perfect.

I am pretty sure the reasoning for the trap after the tank is once the air gets into the tank if the tank is warmer or cooler than the air coming in condensation (water) can happen and cause issues with the valves...that is what I've read and been told (and experienced with a home compressor setup that has the trap after the tank not before...
