Found a blazer

Had somebody tell me about a jimmy for sale
info was....."she's sellin a blue Jimmy 4X4 like yours" and a number...
called left message, with email to send pics
now the info is
1981 Blazer Silverado K-5 Series. 305ci. V8, 2 bbl
Solid frame, body. Not a rust bucket. Engine & transmission are in a good state

ok so it is a rust bucket (by Cali standards lol,not Canadian)
and i don't remember seeing the K's with no hubs
but i'm thinkin just run it for the winter to save the jimmy
maybe swap the 79 4X4 frame etc over
from what i've read of other swaps the hump is a problem
oh and the starter dosn't work?

worth a look anyway for 500.

This... and I don't think those wheelcovers fit over the hubs with that cap that made the front axle permanently locked in.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think they made 1/2 ton trucks/Burbs/Blazers with those chrome caps tat keep the axle locked in at all times.

Re: Found a blazer

Pretty easy to tell. If it doesn't have one of these (the one on the right) on the tranny hump, it isn't 4-wheel drive.

I don't see any front hubs, but I will admit to needing glasses. How does the interior look?

Re: Found a blazer

A 2wd Blazer has to be a rare site in Canada. I`ve only seen a couple around here over the yrs. Got to be worth $500, if it isn`t a total rotbox.

Re: Found a blazer

to even consider replacing those A's,just to tow it
there were other spots as bad on the "solid" frame
hasn't seen the road since 04,with the starter seized....lol runs great
and it still had white chunks of salt/calcium you can see here and there
tried sitting in it and everywhere was crunchy
he had started to glass mat the floor from the bottom up?
to avoid removing the carpet? ...
doors,fenders,all rough glassed over rust
oh and it's $800.
then 100 to tow it
