Motor mounts sold out....now what??
After a moderate amount of research I decided on the ECE mounts for my 5.3 swap. I went by to pick them up today and they informed me a portion of the mount is made in house and a portion is sourced from GM. GM has discontinued making there half!!!! So, I am wondering what my next best option is as far as mounts. I would like to retain my AC compressor in the stock location if possible. All of this is on my 63 C10 by the way. What mounts are everyone else having luck with? Just a heads up, Im not a great fabricator or welder so something bolt in would be preferred. Thanks!!

Sorry, those are not LS engine mounts. LS engine mounts use four bolts to mount to the block, those are sbc mounts! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Motor mounts sold out....now what??
I don't run a/c so I'm not sure if this will work;
I just used the standard cheap swap plates, stock mounts and stock 6 cylinder perches. Moved the perches to the front hole, and welded the mounts in place to be secure. You don't HAVE to weld them, some grade 8 hardware would work fine as well.

I would veriify that from ECE and just use a used set of frame stands.

Re: Motor mounts sold out....now what??
I have been looking at dirtydingo for motor mounts, they offer adjustable ones that look really cool.
I used stock motor mounts with transdapt plates on the motor....

Re: Motor mounts sold out....now what??
Thanks for the replies everyone! Rick, are those LS style mounts? It looks like from the picture they have the regular small block on one side but I'm confused where the forked side goes. Lolife, I believe you are correct, I may see if I can stir up some frame brackets and ask if they will sell me the top "half" only. Shon, are you happy with the trans dapt mounts and where your engine sits fore and aft?

I used the stock style mounts (poly replacement) thinking it would be a 'cheaper' route and wanted to show people that you do not have to get the 'high dollar' stuff. but in the end its within a few bucks, slightly cheaper and works but do like the ECE set up. Just wanted to be different.
