I think you're both right. The hardware attaching the trailing arms looks weak. The trailing arms themselves look pretty small. With the bags mounted so far forward and the fact that they are pre-bent at the rear I'm thinking they will be way overstressed.

Re: Check out this suspension

Not to mention the total lack of a locating device (i.e. Panhard or watts). Just because that upper link is triangle shaped doesn't mean that suspension is triangulated!!!!! Even if there is some DOM in there, which way do they have the seams facing and those lower bars still need braced. Oh well, it's only safety right?

An even better reason why something should be built correctly. Some young kid is going to look at that, get ideas in his head for his street truck/car and be in for a learning experience he could have avoided.

Re: Check out this suspension

That seems like kind of a waste to build it on top of the upper control arm which has no mounting points nor is built to handle the spring and ignore the lower control arm which has mounting points and everything for a spring/ bag.

Re: Check out this suspension

Somebody doesn't like to bend over when building their suspension.
What's up with the balljoint? It looks like the a arm is bent about 75 degrees.

Re: Check out this suspension

Probably because the upper isn't designed to hold weight directly like that so it just tacoed them. wonder how much lift it gets..... :/
