best wiring choice with a swap
If I want to update the stock wiring, is there a stock replacement harness that makes the few connections to a LS swap easier. I have a 5.3L with a 4L60E going in place of the 400 and th350
My thoughts for this are the alternator upgrade, and the neutral safety/reverse light switches |

Not sure what you mean by a stock replacement, but you can have a harness made to eliminate the un needed connections that many stock harnesses have when put into an older vehicles. I got mine from fuel injection connection, but there are a number or companies that do it.
Or are you looking for a year-specific harness for the swap?

Re: best wiring choice with a swap
I'm looking for a year specific (1971) to rewire the truck front to back to get rid of the brittle, crusty old wires.
The harness for the LS engine I will buy new from another source. My idea is to buy the truck harness right, so that there is no need to redo connections like the alt plug, if possible. |

I would suggest American Auto Wire, also you can call them and ask if certain wires could be put into a connector for your swap connections, like constant power, ign power, and such.
