Bill has a 1985 ElCamino and is looking for a 373 Posi for it. Tells me a rearend from a Monte SS is direct fit. Anyone know for sure and if anything else fits? Any for sale in Kansas City area?

Montes didnt use 3.73 posi, his best bet would be for a T/R or Regal or other G-body car thta got the posi and lower gears and the larger ring gear(8.5").

Theres a web site I forgot name of it now, but its huge and has all codes and ratios and all models of G body cars, and all the RPO codes for the installed ratios for the trunk decklid sticker.

El camino are A -body, but stil use the G body suspension in most cases. '78-87 are all bolt in replacment, nothing changed in these years.

G body axle stamping codes(found on axle tube:

go down to the bottom of the page, the G codes are axle ratio codes. For example, GU6 found on the lable is 3.42 ratio
