tire size question
Is there a formula to tell me how wide of a tire will fit on a given wheel? A chart or something?
I'm trying to figure out if a 275/55/18 tire will fit on an 8" wheel.

Re: tire size question
Just go to tirerack.com and shop by "tire size".
Then look at the "specs" chart. They have a column that says "Rim Width Range". (7.5" - 9.5" for your size listed) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....=yes&tab=Specs

Re: tire size question
Thanks...I was on tirerack yesterday, and didn't know about this
I figured there was a chart somewhere; just didn't know where to look. Thanks again!
