Is this enough shock travel?

I did my western chassis 4/6 drop last year. The kit came with 4 doetsch-tech shocks for this drop. The front was suppose to consist of 2.5 spindles and 1.5 western springs. The 1.5 springs were no longer offered so I installed Belltech 2'' springs. I wonder if that extra .5'' drop is too much for the front doetsch-tech shocks which were made for the drop?

The front of the truck is extremely harsh over bumpy roads. Unfortunately, that is the majority of the roads I travel besides the highway. In the pic above, is that enough shock travel? I wonder if I need an even shorter shock OR if Doetsch-Tech just aren't the answer for a smooth ride?

Re: Is this enough shock travel?

If you aren't bottoming sounds like the shocks are long enough. Trouble with drop springs is that harsh ride you mentioned.

I'm sure someone will chime in with a better shock solution for that type of a setup.

Re: Is this enough shock travel?

To smooth that out you need shock relocators. JMHO, trash those doetsch and get some bilstiens.
