230 Inline 6 Timing
I just wanted verification that to set the timing on my 230 Inline 6 I disconnect the vaccum advance line and set the timing on the #1 cylinder at 4 degrees above tdc. the timing marks are located on the drivers side of the block.....can someone let me know if I am correct?
TIA

Re: 230 Inline 6 Timing
remember to plug the vac line, and that the engine is at operating temp. 4° sounds about right except I would go for 4° BTDC (before top dead center). Drive her and if no pinging under load your good to go.
