1971 - 1987 will work IIRC. I think you will want A-arms and out. You can actually unbolt the whole front crossmember and bolt it in place of your 68 crossmember if you want.

Will it look like carp? Definitely. The only later model bed that has any sort of halfway decent looks on these trucks is the 87-98 short steps.

I know you said later model, but just wanted to clarify that 68-72 beds are all the same.

front disc conversion.... easy search.... its benn covered a million times. On going to a newer bed, I personally dont care for the look of it but 88-98 will work but you have to change the mounts to get the body lines to relativley match up.

I think these trucks look stupid with the newer body style beds...

Re: 1968 Chevrolet C-10
as stated you will need the spindles rotors and drag link and tierods from a 71- 72 . you also need to change the ball joints. now you can run a oe drag link but then you have to get custom tierod adjuster sleves (expensive) and also get new tierod ends caus they have to be boched together from diffrent years. thats what i did and trust me its cheaper to just find a donor and change the whold front suspension.

Re: 1968 Chevrolet C-10
Buy year specific drop spindles.
Most aftermarket suspension companies sell a 63-70 standard spindle and drop spindle. They will be a direct bolt on. You don't have to change the ball joints or tie rods. This is the simpliest way to do it. Buy parts store rotors, calipers, brake hoses and M/C .
