67 front disc drop conversion

Anyone used the kit from tomsclassic on ebay? I am thinking about buying it and wonder if anyone has used this kit before.

Re: 67 front disc drop conversion

Cool. Let us know. When you install it check to see if it pushes your wheels out. I think this kit is great but my wheels are out as far as I want them now. Another half inch out on each side would be too much for me.

Re: 67 front disc drop conversion

By the looks of the kit I think its safe to say that it will increase track width.

Re: 67 front disc drop conversion

It WILL incresase track width by ~3/4" per side, and you could buy everything cheaper piece-meal, but having it all together and ready is worth a few bucks...

He is a good guy to deal with. He is at car craft every year and is super nice to talk to. I bought a windshield from him and it looks awesome.

Installed the kit and every thing went great. Would recommend this guy if you need the drop kit.

Hey Gunny,

Did the kit push your wheel base out at all?

Re: 67 front disc drop conversion

Hey 67SLIDER,
I don't know if it pushed it out or not. The truck is totally taken apart. The front suspension and steering was the first to start being put back together. I can take measurements if you want. I don't even have rims and tires yet because I switched to 5 lug.

Re: 67 front disc drop conversion

Don't sweat it Gysgtc. I was just curious. I need to do this but I have 10's on the front now. I need to break down and buy some 8's, tires and then get my disc brake conversion kit. Nothings cheap tho. Merry Christmas.
