New owner and VIN decoding issues
Been doing alot of reading here the past couple months and am finally the owner of a 67 GMC pickup. I'm having some issues decoding the VIN and have done a search here on the forums and on google. I"m assuming GMC vin decoders are a bit different and havent been able to find one.
The vin reads as follows. PC1065B From what I gathered browsing around is its a forward control 1/2 ton, it does have a 14bolt rear axle. The engine and trans are out of a newer vehicle so that wont help me when it comes to figuring out what I have. Any help, info or links to some answers is greatly appreciated. Cant wait to get into restoring this truck. Been modifying new vehicles for far too long, the old trucks are where its at and are always a hit at shows. Thanks again. |

Re: New owner and VIN decoding issues
Welcome from NW Washington. the LMC catalog has a vin decoder, but it doesn't jive w/ your numbers, so I don't know how accurate LMC is. Good luck reading the code, and with your project.

Re: New owner and VIN decoding issues
Thanks, yeah every vin decoder ive used I cant get it to make sense. Double checked the truck today to make sure the VIN matched the title and everything is good. I'm stumped. Either way as long as I dont have an issue at the DMV the project moves forward.
