I think I have a couple of those I have saved for years but will have to really dig deep and look quite a bit to find where I stored them - that piece is not reproduced and is always missing - very rare little item - most people do not even know they exist, so I am surprised to see someone asking for one.

What would one of those be worth to you?

I know why you are asking now - didn't notice it was you Mike

You are one of the only other incredibly detail-oriented people in the U.S. who would want something like that to be on there....no one else but you, me, Josh Quillen (JQ-72 on here) and a small handful of other picky folks would even know what that was much less want one....funny

I will try and find you one of mine over the next few days - not sure where they are....you have a lot of cool stuff stashed away that I probably need, so we can trade maybe

I honestly cannot remember how stiff they were, but they seemed to be good enough I thought I could re-use them at the time....it may take me a while to find them, but let me look....got some of the drain tube grommets too seems like

About the Cameo - terrible decision to buy that one. I was just not as educated on 55-59's or Cameo's as much as I though. Despite having a Cameo "guru" on the phone when I bought it to prevent me from buying a fake, I still got nailed. It was a real factory V8, real Hydramatic, and a real Cameo bed - but after a few weeks of ownership I finally determined the truck was not a real Cameo. Made me sick. Bought it for 9500 and sold it for 7500.

Bought me a 1956 GMC Suburban Carrier instead (GMC's Cameo) w/ factory Pontiac 316 V8, factory Hydramatic, hood bird, delx heater, uber rare road shock dampeners, and rarest of all - factory power steering. Correct numbers matching stuff this go round. Oddly it is Turqoise and White too....also landed a 1961 SWB Apache w/ factory 283 V8 and Cast-iron Powerglide, delx cab w/ all stainless, delx heater, washer setup, factory power steering, factory power brakes, factory tach and not sure what else - just got it a while back and hope to have it running and driving tomorrow....
