My truck has all coil spring. Would it be simple to bag it.

What all would be involved. Would I have to cut and notch the frame. New to air bags here

Re: 1967 swb air ride
Notching the frame isn't necessary, but would get you lower in the rear. Lots of great info on this subject already posted. Do a few searches and see what you come up with. I try not to automatically steer people to searches, but it's actually needed so you can figure out what you want before you start. There's now a few different ways to go from mild to wild so it's required to do some homework before spending the $.

Re: 1967 swb air ride
Notching depends how low you want it and wheel size.If you don't want to cut up the bed you can use a small bolt in notch that will get it pretty low with 15 inch rims.

Re: 1967 swb air ride
Just really starting to look into it. Basically would just like to be able to lower it when I'm not driving it. Don't really care if I can work each bag separately or not. Don't really wanna notch the frame.

Re: 1967 swb air ride
So your looking to add bags with a small budget? You can run bags in the rear with a Schrader valve to fill them. I recommend you run them separate to prevent air transfer when cornering. You will need 2 bags, 2 Schrader valves, and some DOT air line.
You don't "need" to c-notch, but I suggest you consider while your doing the bag set up.

Re: 1967 swb air ride
Not really small budget. And if I bag it there going front and back. My main concern was with my truck having all coil springs would it be kinda just changing springs to bags and running air lines tanks and valves.

Search for your specifc vehicle & the info listed should give you a decent idea of what's needed. You should isolate each bag independently otherwise the truck will lean agressively during any turning/leaning because air can/will shift from one side to the other.

Re: 1967 swb air ride
you can be into a basic complete kit for around 1710.00 which would be the ridetech brand which would include the cool ride kit front and rear and there arc4000 basic 4 path compressor kit. The entire kit is a dirrect bolt in, the most time consuming part is running the air line and wiring. If you have any questions feel free and ask!

Re: 1967 swb air ride
Ok thanks. That's what I was wondering if it would be more of an unbolt and bolt back in

Re: 1967 swb air ride
absolutely! it is something that can definately be tackled in a weekend with a friend, the 63-72 Level 1 kit is one of the most popular kits due to the ease of instalation... depending on the current condition tear down may take longer that the actual replacement. I just recomment taking your time installing the fitting s and running the airlines. This kit is a 4 path system so you wont have to worry about the said airflow transfer
