Bed Liner Question

Hi

I am wanting to purchase a bedliner for my truck but I only want to get the bedliner that covers the floor and back of tailgate (black) not the side. So I found this particular bedliner on LMC. Thing is the white that will be exposed (side and back) is a bit beat up and I simply want to paint it white to match the truck. Is this a good idea and if so do you have any suggestions on the what kind of spray paint I should get?
