new member 1st post 59 apache

Hi everyone,I have learned alot in the last year hanging around this site. Some of the things you guys have done to your trucks have inspired me to copy and try myself. Without seeing someone else doing these things I would not have atempted. I have welded in a 59 impala dash, rounded top corner of the doors, shaved the door handles, roll pan welded in,put gas tank in frame under box. THANKS to all you folks who have helped with my project. My truck is a 59 apache fleetside big window.I picked it up in Texas 2 years ago,it was a running truck when I bought it. I started the hobby restoration soon after hauling it home to Northern Michigan. I welded in a mustang 2 front end, put a camaro disk brake rear axle, I have the box done with cherry wood and painted snakeskin green.I have a lot of work to go but have been getting a lot of garage time in the long winter.I have tried to copy pictures of my progess but i am doing something wrong. If anyone can give me some help on how to get pictures transfered out of my computer to this site, thanks, you will see i am not to computer handy. thanks again ,Mike

Welcome, to post pictures you need to go to advanced in the area where you posted this post. Then go to "Merge Attachments" and add your pictures from your computer there. They will post in the message. You can also make an album and post them there and then put them in your message. I am not sure if this will help you or not but if not let me know and I will try to explain it another way. I have a hard time trying to explain things over the
computer.

Welcome spike, you're trying to load too many pictures at once.. meaning they are to big or take up to much space... it happens to me a lot ...

You can load 5 at a time, try loading maybe 2 or 3 at a time.. if it still happens load less until it works for you... good luck and waiting to see the pictures..

Welcome to the forum from San Diego CA. It takes awhile to learn the pics posting but you will get. I use the paper clip then browse for my pictures on my computer, then upload.

"Manage Attachments" below the text window (scroll down) allows you to post up to 5 attachments from your computer. It resizes them to fit. With some formats it just shows a link.

Re: new member 1st post 59 apache

No i dont have any pictures while i was putting the dash in,but there are a few guys on this site that have done this modification with great step by step progress, I know i took a little over 4 inches out of center of impala dash and also trim the front, I think chuckdriver was one of the guys to detail this change. It will take some time looking around here to find info but its all here.hope this helps, mike

She's a beauty!
Welcome to the forum...

What good is having such a great blower if it doesn't stick out through the hood? Folks may just assume it's geardrive. But I guess when you romp on it they'll know better!

Re: new member 1st post 59 apache

Thanks, I have never had a blower motor before and thought it would be neat to have it hid under hood.I hope to have the truck done to go to back to the 50s weekend in minnesota in june.
