These are on a friends AD.They are parking lights from an AD. I'm going to use them on my TF also.

And for something completely different 69 Datsun tail lights.

Re: Backup lights? Pics please

I needed separate brake and turn sig. lights for the t/s switch I had. The b/u lights were a bonus. Besides I already had the Datsun lights on hand. I know, cheep on my part but it got the job done.

Note the Mazda License lights, had them on hand also. I know, I know cheep, cheep

A pair of these mounted under the rear sill will give you all the light you need, and with a switch will discourage those behind you with their brights on. http://www.harborfreight.com/clear-l...hts-37349.html

These look like 67 VW beetle backup lights. The only VW beetle that had the backup lights like this.
None in 66 or before and in 68 they were in the taillights.

Hope this helps,
Jerry

I was planning on running something similar on the 48 and having them hidden from sight under the truck.

Those look like old Volkswagen back up lights. I think '69, or '70 maybe... Beetle.

Re: Backup lights? Pics please

The Back up lights were mounted on the same type bracket as the tail lights as a factory option or dealer installed.

They were not mounted on the step side fender.

However the B/U lights were mounted on the fender below the tail lights on the Fleetside.

Re: Backup lights? Pics please

I guess I thought this was an option then but after a little more research I found this configuration didn't come around until '66 as part of a government mandate. Same style stepside fender tho and I've seen it on a few trucks. It's a later year stock configuration if you want that but you'd need the flat spot.
