Re: Before or After...

Good choice, those 20s were horrible, worst things ever! For the sake of everyone else's eyes, I think I'd better take em off your hands and dispose of them properly

Run the 17's for sure. They got a modern look with a bit of old school too.

Re: Before or After...

I really liked the black wheels at first, but the 17's look really nice too and the black look is starting to go out, looks more retro now like the 17's belong.

Re: Before or After...

The new rims look great but think if the grille was chrome would look even better.

I like the before shot. I think the black rims work well on your white truck.

Re: Before or After...

You cant go wrong with the big & little tire combo. Especially on stepsides. Looks good with both sets of wheels, but I prefer the 17s.

Re: Before or After...

ima 15" wheel kind of guy but you truck pulled off those 20" very well. i think it might be the black with the black grill/bezzels. the 17's look good to though and they fit the age of the truck better. i know a guy who has 17x8's on the front and 17x10's on the back and it looks killer. this is a tough one

Re: Before or After...

Thx for all the comments/compliments gents. I always wanted a set of Boss 338s so I got them. When I first git the 20s I loved them but as time passed I was less and less fond of them. Although I did not have rubberband tires on them, 45 series, the ride quality was simply horrible. I finally decided to sell them...

Posted them up Craigslist and voila the gentleman offered his billets plus cash for my 20s. I couldn't refuse...I love those wheels on there and I have not looked back. Not to mention, I never knew my truck could be this comfortable to drive. The right quality of course due to the tires and weight of the wheels had improved 100%.

My questions are...what's the biggest I can go in the rear, something fat and meaty...305 or??? 17x10 wheel...is there anyone here that's good with PhotoShop??? I've been wondering what she would look like with the bezels and grill polished/Chrome.

Re: Before or After...

I used to run 305/45/17 bfgs on the rear of my 2wd k5. They were perfect on the rear, but I dont think they make them any more. Might look into a 295/45/17 if they make them. I know they do in 20s.

To my knowledge they don't make neither of those sizes anymore. You can find them but you'll pay an ARM an leg for them.

Re: Before or After...

i know personal opinion plays into everyones thoughts of what looks good. trying to take that out of my opinion is hard but honestly those chrome 17s look killer on your truck.

i too still favor the 15s and have a few sets of them but i plan on getting 17s i love the slightly bigger wheel but you still have some fat rubber under the wheel well.
