Re: Pic of K5 GM trailer hitch
like a factory gm hitch? I think I picked one up not too long ago, at least a dealer installed one. Or do you want he 2" receiver style? The dealer install one I have is from a 78 I believe.

My 79 has a big plate under the license plate. With a 2" receiver under it.

Re: Pic of K5 GM trailer hitch
Are you going to get one?I'm sure you can find one near you since they range in many years and models. I imagine the pickup are the same or can be made to work (if the gas tanks change anything). I'm parting my '01 but these things I reckon would cost like shipping a boat anchor.

Re: Pic of K5 GM trailer hitch
Yes, I am going to try the local junkyard this weekend. I wanted a picture and some opinions on what to look for. The hitches today show the tubing and look horrible.
The shipping would probably cost more than the hitch. Thanks for the pics.

Re: Pic of K5 GM trailer hitch
I stumbled in here from the truck area, but do you guys know if these hitches will fit a truck? Reason I ask is because I have a sport bumper, so one of these would be a pretty good match if it would work. I'm not sure how similar the rear frames sections are though.

Re: Pic of K5 GM trailer hitch
I don't recall seeing those before or if I did, I thought it was aftermarket. How were those equipped with the "hoop" bolted under the bumper supported?
