Gas Gauge Wiring

On a 1973 C-10 there are three prongs on back of the gas gauge.
Does anybody know which prong goes to what wire ? I know the
three prongs plug into the circuit board that goes back to the wiring.
I am thinking about trying to do away with the circuit board..???
If I can get the gas gauge to work,I can put some LED lights in it.
I have gauges already hanging under the ask tray.....
......................................Thanks in advance.....................Breadman
