Question Bed Help

Will a 2002 bed bolt up to a 1985 frame, and if not how much work would it take to make it work?

Re: Bed Help

Will it bolt up? Sure, once you drill some holes and stuff. Will it line up? No. How hard? Depends on how many beers you and your buddy have when doing it.

Re: Bed Help

I assume/hope you are not expecting a 2002 bed to look good on a 85.

Nope just need a bed, might get it and sell it for profit. I can get it for $100.

Re: Bed Help

I don't think it would ever look right no matter how much time or effort went into it. flip that thing and use the profit to fix your bed or buy a better one.

That's was my main idea on it, but talking to a guy right now who might trade a 78 Chevy bed 8ft with dual tanks for 2 Lawn Boy push mowers.

Re: Bed Help

nothing wrong with that if its in good shape. I'd still flip the newer bed and pocket the cash.

He said there is not any rust on the 78 bed at all.
