Wheel Arch Moldings
Are front and rear wheel arch moldings interchangeable? How about from LH to RH? The rear one's on my '77 have the black stripe instead of the mustard color like they're suppose to be so I'm planning on replacing them. I found a NOS one for sale locally with a part # of 377431 with the mustard stripe. Does anyone know if that work for either of my rear moldings?
Thanks -Evan |

Re: Wheel Arch Moldings
Hi Evan,
Each one is different .. LF, RF, LR, and RR. And the front ones are different from 73-80 vs. 81-up as well. If your existing ones are in good condition but just have the wrong stripe color, they aren't real hard to re-paint. When we did my dad's 77 GMC, he bought as many new trim pieces as he could still get from the local GM dealer and a few NOS pieces to make a complete set. Most of them had the black stripe so I ended up doing a lot of re-painting. I used some lacquer thinner to take off the black paint and some 3M fineline tape to mask for repainting. I found that Nason #7863IB "Bahama Yellow" is a really close match to the original color. |

Re: Wheel Arch Moldings
Thanks Ray...That's kinda what I figured that would all be different. Maybe I will try painting them come spring. Thanks for the recommendation.
