Dash replacement options
As I discussed in a previous post my dash in my 1980 short bed c10 is in real bad shape, I was wondering if any of you have had any experiences, good ones I hope, with the dash cover that LMC sells, it is not your everyday run of the mill dash cover, it is hard plastic and they say it is designed to fit right OVER your existing dash so there is no need to remove the old one, and once it is on, it appears as if you have a brand new very nice hard plastic dash. Has anyone bought this product and if so what are your opinions of it, I am considering making the purchase for several reasons one being cost, this cost a bit less than buying a real genuine dash and also because I am in Arizona a new regular dash is just going to rot away again in all this sunshine we have here (beats rust though!) since this is a hard plastic product it will likely stand the test of of the Arizona heat better than a total, new genuine replacement dash.
What say you? |

Re: Dash replacement options
It looks simple enough. I looked at the one classic parts in KC. It is light weight and extremely thin. And its not a bad thing. It won't add any bulk to the dash and being it is so thin, it may be hard to tell it isn't a real dash. it comes with a tube of glue so you can glue it to your dash.
