Re: Recommended headers (ls) for dropmember 67-72??
I have my LS installed with the stage 2 DM. I am looking for headers that will fit as well. Wondering what will work with the steering linkage.

Re: Recommended headers (ls) for dropmember 67-72??
Hey guys, I was in the same situation and I found this guys build on Porterbuilt's website. They are Pacesetter 72C2256
I bought them after I saw the fitment pics, and the price was right too. I payed $400 shipped brand new on eBay. I guess Nate suggested these to him

Re: Recommended headers (ls) for dropmember 67-72??
Tell me about the slip on collectors--always used to a bolted flange--do they come with slip on clamps or do u have to purchase separate ??? Not sure i like that outward turn on drivers side but if it works!!!! thanx jim

Re: Recommended headers (ls) for dropmember 67-72??
I don't care for it either. You also have to watch what you buy, I got a set of the 200.00 F-body headers off of eBay and they didn't fit. If Nate recommends a particular part number make sure that's the one you get

Re: Recommended headers (ls) for dropmember 67-72??
Im not quite sure I will use "slip on" feature. I will most likely weld on either a 3 bolt flange or a v-band flange

Re: Recommended headers (ls) for dropmember 67-72??
those are the 4th gen f-body headers that work for some...not so much for others.

I tried the 5th gen eBay headers and they're a no go for frame laying.

Re: Recommended headers (ls) for dropmember 67-72??
Anyone thats tried the fbody headers with a dropmember have a pic of the driver side where the steering linkage would run? Thanks. I tried the Schoenfeld long tubes 1302ls1 but trying to route the steering linkage looks to be a problem and so far the drivers side header hits the rear of the control arm. Have not tried the pass side yet but dont look like there would be any clearance issues there.

Re: Recommended headers (ls) for dropmember 67-72??
did it just contact the lower arm or was it uninstallable completely? i dont mind having to bang a dimple in the tube to get it to clear.

Re: Recommended headers (ls) for dropmember 67-72??
gotcha, thanks for the input im thinking i may try the tbss long tubes from summit after looking at c10seconds thread with the mild dropmember and with me having the extreme dropmember the motor sits a bit higher and i think it'll work. we will see and i'll post up some results.

I went with the DT's. I have an original PB dropmember and they fit great.

Re: Recommended headers (ls) for dropmember 67-72??
I'm leaning same way but look at pic 3 in post #12 of c10seconds......my motor with extreme is higher and closer to firewall.....although these are Kooks and the pacesetter pics show a different tube route.......
