87 Fuel Sending unit
I installed an 87 tank and sending unit in my 85 for the LS swap and I have 3 lines. I need to know what I do with the middle line, I have the feed and return hooked up I just need to figure something out with the 3rd line.

Re: 87 Fuel Sending unit
I believe that's the vent line, and if you have fuel-injection it will have to be soldered/welded shut.
If its carburretted, just run it to a vent valve,or the fuel cannister(better).

Re: 87 Fuel Sending unit
Shouldn't it be the vent to the charcoal canister?

Yeah, that's what I mean. The black plastic one that we all catch on,once in a while!LOL!
There should already be a line for it.

Re: 87 Fuel Sending unit
That thing is long gone. Can I plug it with some rubber hose and fuel injection clamps?

Re: 87 Fuel Sending unit
Yes,if it has a carb. But,you should then find a vented cap,or it may cause pressure in the line, and flood the carb, especially on warm days. That's what the charcoal cannister is for...to store fumes/vapor,until the engine runs again,at which time they are routed to the carb,to burn.

Re: 87 Fuel Sending unit
See if a stock LQ4 (donor) uses CCP canister. If it does than set it up to use purge line (evap)
