Truck and motorcycle pics???

Anybody have pictures of their motorcycle in the bed of the truck and how you tied it down??

I see posts for every other kind of pics so why not this one? I haven't put my truck on the road yet so no loaded pics yet.

I'll start with the truck...

The 2008 Yamaha Warrior I will be hauling in it...

Nice truck, and that warrior is badass! I'm a honda guy through and through, but I've always liked the style of the warriors. I sold my CB900C this winter, but soon as I can save up enough, I'll be getting a new Honda VTX 1800 and painting it to match my truck, then I'll be able to roll around to shows with the bike in the back

I know what you mean about the Honda, I LOVED the bike but their customer service left ALOT to be desired. I traded the bike in on the Warrior after they could not get it to run right for longer then about 700 miles. Then it would run rich and start loosing power. After having 3 FULL tune ups in less then 20,000 miles and several fuel pressure regulators and several sets of spark plugs it was time to trade it in.

Here is the bike I traded in.

And the ZX-7 I still own.

Wow dude, sorry to hear bout that, I've always heard pretty good things about the CBRs...one advantage to having an older, simpler bike though, I dont ever have to deal with customer service, I can just break out the toolbox and go to town, lol. That's a couple of sweet bikes you've got there though, I love that fairing on the ninja!

That one is my favorite and it handles like its on rails. I haven't fired her up in a while and she needs to be gone through but that will come in time.

Smoke dog,
You ever visit www.labusas.org??

I am jealous of the roads you can ride within just a couple of hours. I use to go to Black rock mountain, Helen, Dahlonaga every year. Then me and my dad started heading up to Cherokee and Bryson City, NC to ride. Loved it so much I bought 5 acres several years ago and I will move up there when I retire.

Re: Truck and motorcycle pics???

Noticed the mustangs all over the place, had me drooling! Hit the dragon almost every year. It was lot more fun before it was well know and full of cops. I got VERY lucky a couple of years ago there. My dads allergies where acting up so I left him at the store and went for a ride. Since he wasn't with me I ran it pretty hard. I found out when I got back to the store that the cops did a sting in the morning and then started one right after I got back. I ran the one hour they weren't onsite.

I got a steal on the property up there. 5 acres with a stream on it and all water rights, high enough that I can see the mountains on the other side of the ridge, and a beautiful waterfall across the street from me. The front porch of the house will look over the waterfall in the future!

It was and is...your just the only person that posted the correct pic. But I think he wants to know where you attached the straps on the truck bed.

I hooked them under the stake pockets. Theres a round hole in the bottom of the square pocket and i hooked the end of the ratchet tie down into that. The hook on the other end goes around the handle bars. Works well and is super solid.

Re: Truck and motorcycle pics???

I have a f250 to pull my trailer with the bike in it. Why would i put the bike in the truck?? It don't fit in it anyway

Go to harbor freight and get a front wheel stand. Bolt it to the floor all the way forward. They are around $60.00 and make life easy. It locks the bike in place and makes it easy on racheting the bike down. Go to the motorcycle shop and get the canyon dancer barstraps. Install heavy duty eye bolts for anchors at each corner of the bed and never worry about the bike moving
