Question? I just picked up a 1964 chevy c30 swb

So my question for all you Chevy experts .... I just picked up a 1964 Chevy c30 swb. It is all complete except for the flat bed and I bought it from the original owner. is there any difference between frames c10 c20 c30 swb trucks? I would like to convert it and throw a short bed on it. But I am not sure about the frames. Any info would be helpful ... even some measurements would be good.

what do you mean by short w/b. they came in 133 and 157" w/bases

The truck is a short bed one ton dually. Besides the suspension what's the difference between my one ton short bed and a half ton short bed.

half ton short bed is 115" wheel base - not available on the 1 tonner as far as I know. Post a pic if you get a chance. I think this is just a terminology issue maybe - you're talking flatbeds, I think. But technically speaking (in my pea brain) when someone says SWB, they're referring to the 115" wheelbase - and that is normally just associated with the 1/2 ton trucks.

Anything from the factory with a 115" wb is a 1/2 ton frame.
The way I understand it is that
Not counting Burbs, Carry-alls & Panels:
115"= 1/2 ton
127"= 1/2, 3/4 or 1 ton
135"= 1 ton (Cab-N-Chassis) and on up from there....

That's just what I think....

On my '66 C30, the frame from the rear cab mounts back, is different from a pickup frame. Mine has the 157" wheelbase, but I believe all C30's have the same basic frame, just different wheelbases.
