Pics of bed cross sills???
This is for a '55 2nd Series short bed step side. The old bed I took off was jacked. It had delaminated plywood for a floor, rust holes, and missing cross sills. I built another bed out of better parts. I'm not quite sure exactly what else I need to mount the bed. Maybe you guys can help. Pics of all the cross sills in place without the bed on would sure help a ton!
I have one of these (rear cross sill)... and one of these... I think I need two more of these?... And is there one under the front panel??? Thanks for the help!!!

Can you post pics of your bed. And maybe a brief description of what you did. Why leave out the cross sills? Has your floor buckled at all with no support underneath? Thanks again!

Link to my build where I did the bed floor. I used a Dakota bed floor for a factory look and gained mini wheel tubs in the process. Factory bed floors already have cross sills built in. I had to relocate one and reuse my original rear sill but it was pretty easy to do, just time consuming.

Re: Pics of bed cross sills???
Here it my 56, I put a 11ga steel bed in it, now its bedlinered. You need to add an angle iron strip to the inside at the front for support. Rear rests on the rear sill, under the side supports.
