65 Truck Turn signal switch Help
Hi All, I am currently rebuilding a stock A/T column for a fellow forum member. I have found it has a odd ball turn switch that no one has. I tried 2 top vendors and the one they have for a 65 is different Have any of you ever ran into this problem? Does anyone know where to get one? i would really appreciate any help. Thanks

Re: 65 Truck Turn signal switch Help
You may have a GMC column, IIRC the switch is different from Chevy.

Re: 65 Truck Turn signal switch Help
I'm not sure what the 65 GMC switch would match up with. I just replaced the upper mast bearing on my 63 GMC, so I had to re-familiarize myself a bit with the differences. I do have a switch for a 64-66 chevy, but sounds like you may already have that. I know the 63 chevy switch works in the 63 GMC, but the 64-66 chevy switch is different. They look very similar, but on one of them, the turn signal lever mounts below the middle mounting hole, & on the other, it mounts above the center hole. If I get time, I will post later tonight which is which, but if you still have one of the new ones & your old one, you may be able to figure that out. I also just recently found out that there is some interchanging possible from 63 & 64 Novas & possibly corvettes.

Re: 65 Truck Turn signal switch Help
Here is a pic of the 64-66 switch on the left, & the 63 switch on the right. Notice the hole for the turn signal lever on the 64-66 switch is below the middle hole on that switch, but above the hole on the other. The 63 switch also uses a different bearing.
