hooker headers
got my shortys off of craigslist for $75. never used. got one wrapped and coated before work, looks good to me. i love the way the wrapped headers look under the hood. hopefully get them bolted up and have some down pipes bent soon.

Re: hooker headers
Does wrapping them heavily like that create hot spots? I've got a set of uncoated hooker's on my truck, I never thought about wrapping them. As long as it didn't cause an increase in engine temp I think it would be pretty cool.

Re: hooker headers
actually the purpose of wrapping is to cut under hood temps. it cuts the temp greatly and looks cool

Re: hooker headers
Wrapping really does cut down on underhood temps. The heat cycle really eats up the headers though. We wrapped a set on my son's car and after about three years they had rusted through in more places than I ever saw headers rust.

Re: hooker headers
Wrapping headers does cut down on the under hood temps, but it also greatly reduces the life of the headers.
