my truck is thinks its a 1ton
As some may know, my 79 is lowerd 5/7 with a flip kit in back and is not c-notched yet. Well today we loaded 2500lbs of tile and grout in the back. The axle sat on the frame and the tires looked really squished, but it hauled it all home without problems! The engine responded like it had no extra weight in back at all. I was very proud of my truck today

That's the cool thing about 1/2 tons, they may not be able handle that kind of abuse all the time like their big brothers, but when they are called upon, they can carry the load.
