Local 1 owner 1961 custom cab

A friend of mine recently bought this 1961 from the person who bought it new in 1961. He plans on cleaning it up a bit and leaving it the way it is. It has had one repaint.

Re: Local 1 owner 1961 custom cab

wonder if there wasn't a little damage at one time to the l/side. perhaps that was the reason for the repaint

Wow, that is very nice. Trucks like that are far and few between. Your friend definitely scored big with that one

One thing I would suggest to your friend, is do something different with that rubber fuel hose above the exhaust manifold. That just looks like a disaster waiting to happen.

Re: Local 1 owner 1961 custom cab

He bought it from the lil lady that purchased it new, it sat under a carport all it's life, has 70k original miles, and came with new wood and strips for the bed that they bought years ago and never got around to putting in. He gave $2300.00 for it.
