Cams cams cams!!
ok so i have a few choices to cam selection, since i cant afford those pricey roller cams, imma stick a nice rod in my engine, but i gotta know if its for our kinda application, and if it can move our trucks. Ok so far ive gotta stock deck 406,
large port vortecs, 215cc int. Runners, and 78cc exh runners. 65 cc combustion chambers. I went cheaper, grabbed a bare set, bought Manleys 'racing series' 2.00 inch valves and they have the undercut stems (which vortecs call for) and the exh side i got 1.56 inch manley race valves to match. All valves have hardened tips, with chrome stems ect. Ect... Ok so to my question, im running 9.1:1 SCR and id like to know what would make my engine perform well, and snap my kneck on take offs, and not lack on the track. Ive been told lunati voodoo cam selection would make a monster, but any other cam suggestions are welcome! Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Cams cams cams!!
the voodoo cams are great but befor i spend the money on a voodoo call lunati ask for a tec and tell him what you wanna do and get his recomendation on a cam. befor you buy call bullit and comp just shop around some and see what techs say what you need.
i use and just about all the guys i know use custom cams inc 1 662.534.4881 in etta mississippi. most cam companys are based in the north west corner of mississippi lunati comp bullit crane are all in the area as well.
