TH350c worth it?
Well ive always thought I had a standard th350 but after getting under there today to change my pan gasket and filter I found out I have a th350c. The previous owner clipped the wire after about a foot and wrapped the wire around the frame. Now what im wondering is is it worth gathering all the parts to get it to lock up? What are the benefits? I know you can throw it on a toggle switch but I dont really like the idea and dont wanna add any switches to my dash.
BTW I dont mostly city driving with occasional highway driving. |

Re: TH350c worth it?
i wired one up thru my cruis control switch one time that way when i hit the brake it unlocked but there really wasnt much of a benefit. Just did it to see what it would do.

Re: TH350c worth it?
It will only drop the rpm about 2-300. Might notice a very small change in mpg but with a tight stock converter to begin with, it's not all that much.

Re: TH350c worth it?
I like mine. Like said the rpm drops about 200 when it locks up. All the stuff is probably still there on yours, if not all you need is vac switch on the firewall. Someone here at one time showed the wiring dia. They seem to be tough trans. I have 130k on mine, still shifts good and the fluid is clean and red.

Re: TH350c worth it?
Will keep your trans from overheating and blowing up. Otherwise it's in constant slip and creates more heat than a normal th350
