Blazer Hatch or parts
I have a Blazer hatch that has some damage. The worst is a chunk taken out on the inside bottom edge near the center. Looks like it could easily be fixed and doesn't look like it would hurt the structural integrity. There appears to be a crack around the inside corner of the right side (viewing it with it laying on the ground interior side up) around the are where the latch mechanism is. Don't know how bad that might be. The whole thing appears to have been painted with latex paint so it is hard to tell. There are also a couple of cosmetic chips on the outside fiberglass. I don't see any cracks around the hinges. The latch handle is ugly with scratches and peeling in the cthrome. No key. Struts work properly as does the latch assembly. I will sell the whole hatch and the hardware shown (missing a couuple of the cover plate screws) for 225.00 plus shipping (almost certainly has to go Greyhound and I will have to crate it to some degree). This needs some work but is certainly not beyond repair.
Or... I will strip every piece of hardware off it, latches, rods, hinges (which are sloppy) struts, etc. and sell that for 120.00 shipped. Obviously, if someone says they will take the hatch, then I won't be selling the hardware. If someone takes the hardware, what is left of the hatch might be for sale (depends a lot on what I have to do to get the hardware off). Thanks, Frank (in Napa, CA) Last edited by Fesser; 05-22-2012 at 11:33 AM. |

Re: Blazer Hatch or parts
forgot to mention lots of little screw holes inside where they mounted curtain hardware and snaps.

Re: Blazer Hatch or parts
I would be interested in the handle and inside parts behind it. I dont need the rods or latches or any of that stuff. If you decide to part out, the handle (I assume it works) and the spring cam behind it is worth $40 to me.

Re: Blazer Hatch or parts
I don't know if you saw it but the handle is fairly ugly. There are scratches and the chrome has flaked off where you see the copper in the pictures. Also, I don't have the key for it. It was/is working fine though. Let me know if it is still worth it to you.

Re: Blazer Hatch or parts
Yea still interested in the handle but I think RideSF is in line for the whole thing. If he needs the whole thing its prolly a better deal since the handle and cam behind it will be tough to pull out without sacrificing the hatch. Not sure where forum rules fall on this so...

Re: Blazer Hatch or parts
Guys, my screw up, went camping this weekend and didn't realize I had a call in my voicemail. I am not the best cell phone operator. If Nick is still in he's first. Nick, I no longer have your number in my phone. PM me or call me. Again, my apologies, Nick had called me but I missed it until I saw his post on here.

Re: Blazer Hatch or parts
Hatch didn't sell so now it is just the hardware, I started to take it apart and decided it was easier to chop up the fibergalss leaving most of the hardware still bolted to the glass it was attached to. Some of the hardware is rusty and will take some penetrating oil to dismantle. One of the 1/4-20 bolts is missing from the support arm to hatch bracket.
I misplaced the two hinge covers and screws shown on the hatch glass in the pictures at the top of this post. If they are really needed I can remove the set on the hatch that I will be using. Everything in the pictures of the parts on the white table is what I am selling. $85.00 shipped without the two hinge covers, $100.00 shipped if I include my other set. ZZ4 has first dibs on the hardware. |

Re: Blazer Hatch or parts
Handle is still worth $40 shipped to me so long as the spring and cam are in good shape. Could I get a couple pics of the back side of the handle?

Re: Blazer Hatch or parts
I want to give ZZ4 some more time to reply. I failed to answer one of his PM's when I was on vacation so I kind of owe him some time. Frank

Re: Blazer Hatch or parts
This is a hard thread to follow with all the Pm's going on.
What is left? Everything off the hatch including the handle? I might be interested. Just need to know what is left for what price shipped.
