Looking for some pics of a 2" drop

I'm looking for some pics of a 2" drop just in front or of the front and rear of a 67-72 c10. I'm looking at doing a disc brake conversion and drop springs are the way to go. Idk if I should just do the front as far as drop springs or do all the way around. I might need to go all the way around since I'm putting a big block in. If I just do the front the extra weight might make the truck look a little funny. Let me know what you guys would do. Also if I do a 2" drop on the truck is it going to be tough to get shocks that will work for my application?

Thanks,
Ryan

Re: Looking for some pics of a 2" drop

Ryan,
From what I've seen, it looks like most guys who do a 2" drop for the front do it with a combo 4" rear drop to get the level lowered(not slammed) look. You also have a choice of doing it with just springs or with a lowered spindle. I'm sure doing just the front would be fine as well but I'm guessing it may look a little too raked, especially after the big block goes in...?

As far as shocks for the drop, you shouldn't have a problem. Most companies like Belltech, Bilstein, KYB have specific applications for the amount of drop you are running so that you have the right amount of damping.

Here's a good visual reference for different drops from the ECE website: http://www.earlyclassic.com/Tech.asp...=Stance+Photos

Hope that helps.

Re: Looking for some pics of a 2" drop

Hey thanks for the link. From seeing that I'm still not sure what I want. Now when you say getting a lowered spindle, is that instead of a drop spring? It seems a bit more expensive than a drop spring. Is one easier than the other? I still like the look of stock height over lowering my truck, but if lowering it is the only option for disc brakes then I'll do it. I'd rather be able to stop and have my truck a little lower then what I'd want than have my truck not be able to stop and look the way I want.

Still looking for some pictures...

Thanks,
Ryan

Re: Looking for some pics of a 2" drop

Maybe this thread would be better in the 67-72 area? I know there has to be some people that have done this...
