interior done finally
The interior is finally done after a lot of work. Replaced the floor boards and and lower pillars. Painted the inside to the stock metallic fawn. It's a 65 but went with the darker brown dash that was introduced in the 66 model year.

Looks good. What is that wire coming down the trans tunnel? Is that the reverse switch? If so can you take a closeup pic of the switch and how it mounts? I have a 4 speed as well, but no reverse switch. But i have the backup lights.

that looks real nice - quick question for you - I'm in the middle of swapping in the mid-60's poncho vac gauge. Did you find you needed to lower the gauge cup and drill some new holes to make it all fit right? I am. And that's ok, just curious. Trying to make it line up appropriately and hid the needle fulcrum. Think just about have it. Having a hard time finding vac hose to fit the old gauge too!! All seem too big or too little from the basic auto parts chains. Truck looks real nice!
Btw - would love to see a close up of the vac gauge - trying to decide also if I want to re-paint the strip because it's faded - I thought it was green/yellow/red, but the more I look I can't tell if it's just a little green then a lot o yellow... EDIT #2 (sorry) Did you paint the inside of the tin matching puke green like chevy or leave it the blue tint like it came from Pontiac?? I am curious becuase I don't want that one to glow blue when the rest is green.....

I did have to drill new holes as low as I could To get the pontiac vac gauge to line up right.

Did you replace the center hump on the floor where the tcase and tranny come thru? If so where did you get that replacement panel from i cant find where to get it from

I did replace the center hump because the truck used to be a three speed and had to go with the high hump. I had to go to a wrecking yard to get the pieces I needed because you need the piece in front of the removable hump as well. I don't think your going to find any after market panels.
