th350 to sm465 swap with 2 piece drive shafts

the transmission i am looking to swap into my truck is a sm465 from a 3/4 ton into my 1/2 ton. both have 2, piece drive shalfts. so if they are different lengths would i be able to swap the front part of the drive shalf?

The center bearing support is welded to the frame in the same spot, If I to guess , I would say yes.

My 83 C20 has a SM465 and my 87 has an 400 automatic.

If you need me to measure anything let me know.

i found this on another site "Also C20 uses the 1350 heavy u-joints apposed to the 1310 smaller joint in 1/2 ton." would the front part o fthe drive shaft swap or would i have to buy an adapter u-joint

neat little supprise for me, the slip yokes are the same so it was very easy to sway the rear half or the drive shaft. really wish i would have drianed the th350 first though ha
