suburban question ?
I'm preping my suburban for paint and noticed a hole behind where the rear bumper wraps around the body on the right side only. This appears to be a factory hole about 1" in diameter. I have no idea what this could have been for. Does anyone know what this is. Check your suburban and see if you have one. thanks

Re: suburban question ?
Yup, mine has the same hole and I have never noticed it before now, can barely see it with the bumper on.

Re: suburban question ?
Is it on the pan under the back door? Mine had a trailer connector back there. 1" hole and 2 small screw holes

Re: suburban question ?
Pic would help.
It could be a gage/locating hole during the welding/body fixturing process; it could be a paint access or vent/drain hole for during the painting process; or - it could be a wiring pass through for some option content that your truck was not specified with. Just a few thoughts. K

Re: suburban question ?
Here's a picture of mine, I just have one on right side. Some have one, some have two, and some have none, it doesn't make a lot of sence. I was hoping that someone would have had a difinitive answer on what they were for.
