power doors
i have a 81 non power door i got a set of power dl pw how hard is it to convert this

bolt off bolt on very easy hardest thing is wiring the new harness through the door and plugging it in the rest lines right up

What about at the fuse panel?..I grabbed the regulators and wires along time ago but I don't see in my a panel a place for power windows. I would think you need a relay somewhere.
I should have learned that you can't pull things apart and let it sit for two years and think your going to put it togrther. |

If you are using your existing non power doors you will need to use a hole saw to drill a large enough hole in the door jamb and door for the wiring harness to run through. The door and jamb both have dimples to show where to drill for the mounting bolts on the boot. I feel this is the hardest part. You will then need to remove your dash pad the route the cab PW window harness correctly. from this point on it is just basic plug in can go.

There is a relay that mounts to the upper right side of the gas pedal bracket. You will need this as well. You also need to screw in the ground wire. There should be a place on the left kick panel with other ground wires. The power hooks to an auxillary plug in on the fuse box. I hope this helps

I can understand that on the east coast. We are lucky here as there are no rust issues so stuff stays around a little longer
