Wood tool box ideas for bed.

Looking for photos of hand built tool boxes for my bed. Want to keep the old look of my 66 c10 but store tools, groceries, and whatever. Don't want some big ugly shiny box in the bed of my old truck's wood floor. Thinking of building a box behind the back glass using wood similar to the wood slats. Any ideas wood be great!

Heres a earlier thread on tool boxs : http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...hlight=toolbox but they are mainly metal ones but if you check out post #20 "creep" used a wood ammo crate in his, I was thinking of making one that was taller and longer that went all the way across the back of the bed but make it resemble a ammo crate and have the lid hinged.....

How bout building a steel box and covering it in wood..

thanks for the ideas, that was something i thought about to keep everything dry. may even go a plastic box to help with the weight.

If you go to any wood carpenter he could set you up. Find a guy who does it as a hobby and you will likely get a better price. Good Luck
