Rally Wheel Center Caps
Morning all,
I went into a electronics store in a strip mall the other day and milled about for less than 15 minutes. I came back out and disarmed the alarm and started home when I heard something rattling on the front wheel. I pulled in to a Walmart parking lot and got out to find two bolts missing from the driver's side center cap. The third and final bolt was 2/3rds out too. It seems we have someone else out there that likes our trucks!!! I never would have thought that anybody would try to steal something off a truck like that. As soon as I got home I took the bolts off all of them and replaced them with 3 different kinds of bolts to make it a little harder next time. |

Use allen head bolts, most people don't carry those tools with them and they are hard to remove with a pair of pliers.
People who screw with other peoples stuff suck! ...Jeff |

Good to hear that they didn't get your center cap. I can not stand people that steal stuff from other peoples vehicles. It annoys me a lot.
These are so small and are cheap, but after replacing almost 5 sets on each vehicle I have (Except for my truck) I am getting frustrated. I put those chrome valve stem covers on my vehicles. My Civic I actually had aluminum ones on there. Someone keeps taking the damn things. I am getting so frustrated with this. I want to purchase a set for my Oldsmobile for when I got to shows. They are chrome with the rocket logo in them. But since they are so easy to steal, I refuse to spend the money. Not sure if they make such a thing, but do they have like a locking valve stem cover? Does anyone know?

rockman, try putting them on, and snugging themup with a wrench. then put the wrench in your glove box. my grandpa had a problem with people stealing his, and that was his solution. never had to worry about them after that.

Man, I hate theives. One thing that would help would be some of those one way screws. They have a slot in them that only works to tighten them. I know you've seen them. They use them on the bathroom stalls in places of business.
