Front bagged

After installing drop spindles and front air bags my front wheels dip in on top?
What needs to be done to correct this? Or what was done wrong? Any help on this? Thanks

Re: Front bagged

They have pull in at the top due to the suspension travel. When air nagged, the arms go up a lot further than on a static dropped truck. It is the nature of the suspension travel. This can be helped with a pair of aftermarket arms with corrected geometry for air bagged trucks.

For example, a good brand would be Porterbuilt.

Re: Front bagged

91 suburban. I was also told a wheel alignment would help. Aired up or aired out it still does this.

Re: Front bagged

Spindles usually correct it, how much drop do your spindles have?

Re: Front bagged

A wheel alignment isn't a bad idea, and do suggest it. Get it aligned at where you ride height is going to be. You will still have the lean at the top of the wheel though, but it might be better. It is always good to align either way after bagging or lowering a vehicle.

an idea.... instead of longer uppers you could section like an inch behind the lca's balljoint and make the lca shorter...but make sure a professional does it and make sure you do tons of research first from expert fabricaters on this site like DV8....just an idea, but the best thing to do is get the porterbuilt arms

again, i could be wrong and anyone's welcome to set me straight. i wont take it personal

Re: Front bagged

Is it the old body style or the 88-98 body style suburban?

Re: Front bagged

The Porterbuilt arms can also be made 1" forward to center the wheel in the wheel well, which is a nice feature.
