Big Bolt Power Steering Solutions
After looking around and not finding much, I was wondering what are some of the power steering solutions that have been assembled for the heavier trucks. I have 1953 Chevy 6400 and wanted to see if there were any direct bolt in replacement steering gear units from a medium duty truck that people have been using, or would a control valve and a hydraulic ram bolted to the front axle be an easier route?

Re: Big Bolt Power Steering Solutions
I think the mid 2000 chevy and toyota boxes may work in the stock location. Find one from a 3 xx series HD truck and you should be good to go. I can't find it but someone did a conversion like mine but used a later Toyota box in the stock location, much cleaner if I wasn't so far along I'd think about changing.
