REAR Swaybar help!!!
I did the search for "rear swaybar" and came up with 7 results, or course none of those results helped.
The Truck: 1957 Chevy 3200. 72' Camaro rear axle. Gas tank under bed, right behind shocks, aluminum, hangs down approx 6" from the frame. CPP rear leaf kit, with flipped axle. I need a rear swaybar that will fit without having to modify the things I already have. Is it possible? Can I find a OEM from something in the pick a parts? Is there something aftermarket that I can get to fit? I really need someplace to start looking. CPP doesn't offer anything (as far as I could find) that works with their own kit. I finally got it back up and running, she rides smooth but has was to much body roll in the corners. Any help will go a long way! Wess

Re: REAR Swaybar help!!!
Thanks, I didn't even think about that. I'll have to take some measurements and see if it will work. Providing I can find the dang thing!
Anymore options ?

Re: REAR Swaybar help!!!
My Camaro rear end came with a bar when I got it for the 55 GMC, and there was not much to fab to get it to fit. The one I picked up at the PAP all I needed to do was drill two holes in the chassis on the 53, and get some new bushings (Poly) and end links

Re: REAR Swaybar help!!!
I know the sway bar on my Camaro mounts under the leaf springs using rubber bushings and has down rods that mount to the frame rails. So it may not mount up correctly to the 57's frame.

Re: REAR Swaybar help!!!
I have a rear bar off of a 1979 F350. I can't remember if it was a single rear wheel or dual rear wheel. It will mount on the top of the 12 bolt truck rear that I have. The end links and everything mocked up nicely. I haven't refinished it or installed it yet, but that is on my list of things to do.

Re: REAR Swaybar help!!!
the 3rd gen sway bar centered my frame, similar to solidaxle's top picture
since my frame is boxed i heated the arm and bent each end out approx 1 inch i've had no problem with it in 10,000 miles orge is a round, tasty fruit; ogre is green and not so tasty
