New from AK
Hi, I'm new and I have a C10 and its a problem. After much searching and deals that I've passed up and 6 years of looking I finally found a 1972 C10 step-side. Yay for me right? The disease is already starting.
Bought it off craigslist and it came with a rust-free gutted cab with new rockers, cab corners & floor patches already welded in. The cab is clean except for 2 small dents in the rear. I have no complaints since it was such a deal. The truck itself is a 72' with a 350/350 combo, 2WD, 12-bolt rear end, factory front disc and power steering. The cab on it is shot, hence the new rust free cab. It needs the doors and fenders replaced which I already picked up mint rust free ones. The bed is clean, except for some cancer on the passenger side. Pretty easy fix from what my body man has told me. Plans are to lay frame on 22's, LSx swap and have a nice cruiser to play with during the summer and take to shows. Goal is to have it back on the road Spring 2013. Only picture I have on my computer right now. I try to work on it everyday as much as I can. I recently replaced the coil, cap & rotor on the HEI swap and got it back running. Coil went the 3rd day I had it. Nice to be here and hope to find oodles of information from you guys. |
