stock coil springs
Im doing a frame off on my 71 super cheyenne SWB. I have stripped and POR15 treated frame with all new front end stuff. I ordered stock coils but really want to drop it a little. I have had the coils for a long time so cant exchange em. So the question is how much to cut for 1 1/2 or 2 inches? What coils for rear to level it? Thanks in advance.

Re: stock coil springs
start by cutting 1/2 a coil on the front springs and drive it around a few days to allow the spring to settle and see if you like the height. If you want it lower cut another half off and drive it around again to settle the spring again. I know it sounds like allot of work, but you will get the height you want. On the rear just block it with a 2 inch block, it's cheap and easy.

Re: stock coil springs
Just use lowering blocks on the rear that way you can use the springs that you already have and IMO I would cut just one coil off of the front.
