metal body filer.... sucks!-_-

So I got some metal fusion body filler from pepboys thinking it would work well, to just fill in some pitts. Worked ok for the first little bit of mixing and applying. But after the first few times I used it (over a weeks time) the stuff in the can started to harden and become gloppy. I took out the normal ungloped filler and mixed it then applied. Went out this morning to d.a sand it. But when I went to sand I relized the filler hand barely hardend. As soon as I hit it with sand paperit cloged it all up -_-. So I put some of the hardener on a paper towel and wiped it over all of the filler. And am going to wait and try sanding tomorrow. If that doesn't work I don't know what I'm gonna do to get the gloppy crap off my truck. If anyone has come across this or knows a way to beat this crap, please let me know. Thak you.

When you're not using it make sure the can is sealed well and stored in a cool dry place. As for spreading hardener over the already spread filler thats not gonna work, all that non hard filler is still there just with a hard top layer. Id wire wheel all of it off and start again. Pay close attention to the directions as to how much filler and hardener to use, once you get that down you can get the hang of adding more or less hardener under certain situations.

as a rule of the bondo is a base ball size bondo takes ONE strip of hardner. to much wont harden same as to little. ask me how i no? also any good paint stripper will take it off. i personalyh like air plane stripper just wash the metal after.
