Re: lowering my truck
You have quite a few options. Tall rims and tires is good, sectioned crossmember, dropmember, z'd frame, air bags....

Re: lowering my truck
I hardly see boss 338. Or coys. Torque thrust twos are on everything and are as popular as mustang and camaros

Re: lowering my truck
I see boss 338's pretty much everywhere I look. maybe it depends on where you live?
if you want to be low but have your crossmember higher up you are going to either need to pancake your crossmember or look into an aftermarket crossmember. I would NOT recommend a z'd frame for a static drop. tubular control arms will gain a little bit of clearance also. nate or dave from porterbuilt can help you decide what is the best option for what your end goal is and on your budget.

Re: lowering my truck
bump steer issues with how high the steering box comes up, raised engine means cutting into the trans tunnel, possible hood clearance issues with the motor. just doesnt seem like a good idea for a static drop. it really isnt a good idea in general the way its typically done. IMO a z'd frame should be paired with a pancaked crossmember 100% of the time. that way with a 1.5" pancake you will only need a 1.5" z.
