Good Deal?

Thinking about buying used vortec heads for 200$ IS THAT A GOOD DEAL?. Would i have to rebuild them if there in good shape or could i just bolt them on. Or should i wait and get a pair of heads that have been rebuilt already?

Re: Good Deal?

Are they complete heads with valves, springs and rockers? If they dont need valve work then I would say yes they are worth it. Even needing minor work they are worth it. I paid $400 for my old fuelies with extensive port and polishing and machined for press in studs. Without the port and polish, ive been told that the Vortec's would out flow them.
